Zagreb is a bit of a weird city. I like it because it’s got a ton of tourists so the locals and businesses usually know a fair amount of English. However, I feel like there isn’t a ton of things to do besides shopping, so 2 days is probably enough.
Zagrev did have some interesting museums. They have a museum of torture, that has a bunch of old torture tools, a museum of illusions filled with… Well illusions, and most famously the museum of broken relationships. The museum features a bunch of objects that meant something in people’s relationships before they ended along with a small writeup by the person explaining the significance. It was kind of neat, some were funny, some were sad.
apparantky my hostel is a pretty popular place for locals to come drink. I was having some beers with some Croatian girls and their eyes lit up as they spotted a famous Croatian actor sitting with a famous comedian a few tables away. I didn’t recognize them.
I was going to go to Ljubljana in Slovenia next, but I decided I might not have enough time to do that and get to the UK in time to meet some people there, so instead I am going to Cologne.
I didn’t get a lot of pictures of Zagreb, mostly because most of the stuff I passed was just stores, not a lot to see. But here is what I’ve got aswell as my pictures from Slovakia. Also I’m pretty sure I’ve got the website setup so that I don’t have to manually approve comments now, so mabye see if that works for me?
Happy Thanksgiving.
